Methods papers, catalogues and ethics — grounded in published Indian archaeology.

Research units publish methods, type-series and literature syntheses. No unpublished discovery is announced as an IIACH excavation. Permit numbers are not invented.

Research areas

Field archaeology, archaeological science, conservation science, museum studies, epigraphy and numismatics, digital heritage, and heritage education. Each area maps to a division and to the bibliography on the publications desk.

Research ethics

Excavation only with competent-authority permission. Human remains and living heritage require consent. Data protection for community recordings. Authorship follows contribution. The institute will not traffic in unverified antiquities or publish dealer provenances as find-spots.
